july-givwaway.jpg

Thank you all so much for your great entries, it is super cool reading the comments and finding out what you would buy on a Tokyo shopping spree.

We randomly picked a winner from the 42 comments...

Omedetou to Rachel

I'd shop for funky, kitschy purses and plastic food like they showcase in restaurants.

Rachel

The August give away will be up really soooon! Promise, we have been trying to think of something yummy to top a spending spree.

Recently we had the bone tingling pleasure of interviewing the ever popular Blabla Hospital Head Nurse Akari.

The two part interview which was posted on the super cool Japanese Streets blog (Tokyo Cures 1 & 2) gave some new insight into the Blabla ways, a bit of history and the head nurse's personality.

Tokyo Tees

It's Summer time and the weather is fine, the Tokyo tees are out in full force. Check out the latest funky batches cooked up by Tomokuni, c&m, and Land Roval.

Tomokuni, low brow art legend and air brush artist, blew the peeps away at the Tokyo Made Market with the launch of his new t-shirt range. Old school manga meets new wave funk. Rad is probably the bast way to describe them!

c&m rock some funky symbols and motifs in a way that only the New York meets Tokyo label knows how.

Loving the Land Roval secret side pocket addition. Been testing it out on all number of things but we think it is perfect for your pod or pocket change.

Space Time Lounge Event

spacetimelounge.jpg

To introduce their new music and visual download sites in association with their record label Fubuki Recordings in Japan, Spacetime is hosting a special Chill out Lounge and Soiree.

Open ... 19:00
Start ... 19:00
Price ... 1000Yen
Fubuki x Spacetime Chill Out Soiree.
Place ... SuperDeluxe
DJs: Me-sheen, Hataken, Ken Machines / Dance Performance: Mia "The Dancing Doll" / Digital Visual: Gwa Gwa, Spacetime TV / Pigment Visual: Anita Chang

Featuring Fubuki Recordings artists in a mutant/hybrid style of DJ technology, digital computer control and manipulation of analogue synthesizers; all blasted into hyperspace by the sonic force of the Super Deluxe “in-house” Fostex sound system.

Spacetime is taking the music to the fourth dimension, by combining the extreme effects made possible with Virtual Studio Technologies created by Steinberg and relaying them through the spatial array of the unique Fostex sound system that has been recently installed at Super Deluxe.

Spacetime DJs will also showcase completely new recordings by Fubuki Recording artists DJ Olive, Dr Atmo, Spacetime Continuum, Subtropic, Move D, Kay Nakayama, Bluetech, Ken Machines, Camelback and Me-sheen. These never heard before tracks are a taste of what to expect from our download sites.

We also have Me-sheen playing live versions from his recent full length double album Slipstream and Ken Machines working their analogue synthetic sound into a deep chill out melt down.

Mia "The Dancing Doll" will perform some special costumed Balinese dance stories, and Anita Chang will exhibit some of her amazing psychedelic fantasy large scale canvases. Spacetime TV and Gwa Gwa will also project recent video experiments on the large scale video wall. We will also have Spacetime select shop with cds, tee shirts, spacetime brand goods as well as other designers.

It's the new edge of Chill Out, the beginning that never ends, combined with the good vibes of a relaxed lounge environment that makes Spacetime a special night, so come down and join us.
