A little update to let you know that I (Deanne...the DE in TokyoMaDE) leave today for down under, back to my home land, for two months. In this time I will still be updating the blog and connected with Masao and the designers via the wires that make all this internet stuff possible.

In my absense Masao decided that he would need some loving attention, a new girlfriend was recruited. She is beautiful, isn't she? This yummy Mac baby will keep Masao company while I am away and make the online side of TokyoMade so much more sexy!

A new project by Guy Perryman on the Tokyo Expresso show involves interviews with the TokyoMade designers as well as other fashion retailers, cafes and trendsetters through out the streets on Tokyo.

Check out the recent show in which Guy interviews Bros Wear Designs creator Oshima.

The streets of Tokyo are a visual wonderland. Masao has been hitting the streets in search of color, design and inspiration. He is capturing some of the styles with his trusty Nikon companion.

The Bla Bla Hospital Head Nurse has been hard at work creating funky new remedies to heal your fashion sickness.

For lots of people around the world today is a day to celebrate and show love. While we think it should be love and gratitude day everyday we are wishing you all a special love filled day on this year's Feb 14.

This day is also a special day for TM because we officially turn 2 today! Cause for celebration we think. With Masao and Tokyo and me in Sydney (just until April) we are rocking the global connection today, which is truly symbolic of the essence of Tokyo Made. We see it as a global community, sending huge thanks and loads of gratitude to you all for being amazing players in the global community. What an amazing 2 years it has been, thank you.

A huge part of the inspiration behind birthing Tokyo Made was to share the unique designs that we spot here in Japan with the rest of the world. When we get beautiful treasures in our inbox like the following from Naomi we know that the dream is a reality.

The creative wild fire behind the Inoshi Daughter and Porno Invaders brands, Shojono Tomo has a larger than life personality, a funky fashion look and clearly loves what she does.

Guy Perryman got a chance to catch up with Shojono Tomo recently for an interview in his Tokyo roof top studio.

Hard to believe, time has flown by so quickly it seems but the next installment of Fragment is well into the hard core stages of planning and preparation. Volume 4.

Here is a little sneak preview of the flyer and what will be going down in Tokyo town on March 22nd for the 1st year anniversary of Fragment Tokyo.

The concept of Fragment is to provide a multifaceted arena in which creators, admirers and shoppers can feel
that art, craft, process and design are close at hand.
Throughout the event there are no barriers between the designers, their fans and customers.
A diverse group of creative artists and designers such as illustrations, clothing creators, accessory designers join the event to make presentations and expand the wave of exchanges. All in an attempt to further stimulate the art scene of Tokyo.
Alongside designers will be live painters and DJs creating a dynamic vibe throughout the event.

The approaching launch of Tokyo based, free paper - document is stirring the creative pot. Yesterday's TokyoMade photo shoot was a fun filled success.

Featuring designs by chief&mischief, Honmonoya, bla bla hospital and BLITZ Kiss, the spread will be splashed in the first issue of document.

Model Junko, also known for her captivating live paintings at Fragment and other Tokyo events, was transformed by make up artist LEE Joung Min assisted by Brandon (c&m), Masao and Oshima.
